Johnny and his team have just completed a major renovation on our house including large extension and remodelling of the downstairs of the house. We chose Johnny/Stag based on numerous positive recommendations from our neighbours who had recent work done. We are very happy with the high quality of work, the honest and sincere advice, and the attention to detail. Johnny ensured every element is finished as if it was his own house. Everyone in Johnny’s team has been friendly, courteous and positive – thanks to John, Charlie, Aaron, Johnny, Luke especially – a pleasure to work with. John brought together a team of local craftsmen who exceeded our expectations. Having a Carpenter (John) as a Project Manager means that they gave proper attention to detail to every stage of the build and the final decoration. When our kitchen supplier provided units that didn’t quite fit the angles of the interior, John simply set up his work top and saw and adapted all of the units.
This was all part of the service. Furthermore, his experience and knowledge of the industry was invaluable in helping us decide on the optimum position for windows and skylights in the early stages of planning.

It was extremely reassuring to have John on site to communicate at every stage of the build what was happening and simply be present to answer our queries. When inevitable minor problems occurred after the extension was completed, John would promptly come and solve them.

We were so pleased with the quality of workmanship that we had no hesitation in asking John and his team to come back two years later and build a roof extension with the additional refurbishment of the 1st floor bathroom. This was done with a minimum of inconvenience and completed on time, within budget. We are now enjoying an additional bedroom, bathroom and study in our former attic and an overall construction that has significantly enhanced the value of the house to every member of the family. Using John’s own expression, he has done a “Pukka” job.

John Hammond and his team at London Bespoke did our loft conversion in Ham. From the very beginning it was evident that John was highly experienced, professional and confident in his expertise. What did we want from our builder?

Reliability:
When John said something was going to happen, be delivered or finished on a certain date, it was. In addition, he was also able to somehow find other tradespeople of equal reliability to work on the project. John has obvious leadership qualities and assembles an effective team. Industriousness:
John and his team worked through some of the foulest, coldest, windiest winter weather in Jan ’18 in order to get a roof watertight and ready for tiling. It was noticeable that all other building firms working on the street had downed-tools over this period.

Pleasantness:
John and team were polite, thoughtful (always took care to clean up after themselves on a daily basis) and kind to our sometimes bothersome children. Ultimately, John has become a family friend.

Trustworthiness:
We did not hesitate to leave John and team alone with our children, with our keys, etc.

Creativity:
John maximised space in our loft by thinking outside the box and adjusting staircase design. Nothing he did was based on a template but instead designed to deliver a quality product that met our requirements.

Attention to detail:
Work was finished to a high specification. John ensured that plasterers, painters, etc., only finished a job when he was satisfied, which was when we, his clients, were satisfied.
